Pastor Council Timothy Lee was born in Statesboro, Georgia (Bulloch County) on May 5, 1959. He is the youngest of seven children. At an early age, he joined Historical First African Missionary Baptist Church, which was later changed to Historical First African Baptist Church. Timothy was educated in the Statesboro public school system and received his diploma and a football scholarship in 1978. He then went on to play collegiate football at San Jose State College in San Diego, California where he received a degree in Business Administration. While at San Jose State College, he was also the President of the Alpha Phi Alpha, Iota Chapter, Greek fraternity.
Timothy was ordained as a minister in 1997 by Pastor Augustus Strong at Historical First African Missionary Baptist Church. He pastored at Cypress Pond Baptist Church, New Life Missionary Baptist Church, and New Waters Grove Baptist Church. On August 29, 1999, he was united in Holy matrimony with Barbara Ann White. He was also the Owner of Lee's restaurant located in Statesboro, Georgia. Timothy Lee was called to his heavenly home in Statesboro, Georgia on Sunday March 5, 2017. |
