See What the Lord Has Done! Pastor Vonncina B. Kirkland accepted her calling to the ministry in 2009 while working on a doctoral degree in educational leadership at Cambridge College in Cambridge, MA. She was born in GA and attended school in Yonkers, NY before returning to Sylvania, GA in 1974 where she met and married her husband of 43 years, Deacon Herman Kirkland, Sr. They are proud parents of four wonderful sons and equally proud grandparents of seven beautiful granddaughters: Herman, Jr / Nichelle (Jailyn, Janiya, and Kadence), Myron / Gabrielle (Leia), Taurean / Ebony (Jamilya, Aleeah, and Aubrionna), and Tyjohn. Taste and See! The Lord has allowed her to attain several degrees that include bachelors and masters degrees in education from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA in 1998 and 2004, respectively as well as a specialist degree and ABD status in educational administration from Cambridge College in Cambridge, MA. Her work experience includes 19 years at White Stag Manufacturing (machine operator / stitch line supervisor), 19 years at Screven County Board of Education (10 years teaching and 9 years as assistant principal), and she is studying to earn a doctor of ministry to further her worship in spirit and truth to teach, preach, reach, and serve God’s kingdom. As Paul told Timothy, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth,”(2 Timothy 2: 15 KJV). Look Where He Brought Me From... In October 2010, Pastor Kirkland was licensed to preach the gospel and has since served as an associate minister under the anointed spiritual leadership of Reverend Timothy Lee, pastor who went on to be with the Lord in March, 2017. Pastor Kirkland was ordained in August 2016 by the Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Association, served as interim pastor, and on July 24, 2017 was called and installed as the pastor of the New Waters Grove Missionary Baptist Church where Jesus is Lord! She now serves as the pastor to preach the word and continue the work of the Lord in building relationships with Jesus Christ our Savior, fellowships with each other, memberships to the body of Christ, and stewardship of God’s property. To God Be the Glory For The Great Things... The Lord has truly done great things and there are no limits in Jesus Christ our Lord! We humbly “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest. We look forward …”in faith, nothing wavering...(James 1: 6) with great expectations for the fulfillment of the scripture as Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it (John 14:12-14). In Philippians 4: 13, Paul says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” We pray in Jesus’ Name, that God will use this great church to reap a bountiful harvest for his kingdom for we know “For with God nothing shall be impossible,” (Luke 1: 37) and we have great expectations for God’s Harvest! |
